Accessibility

The Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum aims to provide fun, engaging, and safe experiences for all who wish to visit. Read below for accessibility information, and feel free to contact us via phone or email for further inquiries.

Accessible Parking

While our parking lot is mainly gravel, we have marked, paved accessible spots located close to the museum. There is sidewalk access from these spots directly to the front door.

Wheelchairs & Mobility

Our museum gallery is wheelchair (and stroller) accessible. We do not have wheelchairs to borrow. Our back paddock has some limitations due to gravel pathways, uneven terrain, and a step down from the door. We have backless benches throughout the gallery, and are happy to provide folding chairs upon request. Our benches and chairs do not have hand rails.

Bathrooms

We have men’s and women’s bathrooms located in our lobby. The men’s contains two urinals and two stalls, and the women’s contains four stalls. Both bathrooms contain an accessible stall and baby changing areas.

Sensory Kits

We have sensory kits available to use while inside the museum, which can be retrieved from the front desk. They contain headphones, fidgets, and emotion cards. They must be returned upon exit from the museum. First come, first served.

Quietest Times

We are typically busiest on the weekends. Weekdays are much quieter, especially in the afternoon. We sometimes remain open while school groups are in the gallery. Please call if you’d like to ensure a school group will not be in the gallery at the time of your visit.
