  • National Agriculture in the Classroom - This site has fun games, facts, and virtual tours all about agriculture in the United States.
  • American Dairy Association Northeast Dairy Diary - This is the Dairy Association that farmers in Loudoun belong to.  They have fun activities and virtual tours.
  • Farm Fun with Farmer Katie - This site features videos of Farmer Katie and her cow, Snickerdoodle!.  Farmer Katie will teach kids about caring for calves, cow car, cow nutrition, milking and using dairy.  There will be a new video every Monday - Thursday.  On Friday, Farmer Katie will be on Facebook Live.

  • Virginia Museums Digital Content - Connect with Virginia's museums and arts & cultural organizations online.
  • Loudoun County Public Library - The Loudoun County Public Librarians have rounded up their favorite online tools for learning, exploration and recreation to help your stay at home be a more enriching experience.
  • Black History Committee of the Thomas Balch Library - Information about the history of African Americans in antebellum Loudoun and afterwards.
  • Mosby Heritage Area Association - Learn about the local history here in Loudoun County as well as other parts of Northern Virginia Piedmont and Lower Shenandoah Valley.  You can watch videos of their staff giving tours.  
  • Aldie Mill Virtual Field Trips - Take a virtual interactive field trip to the Aldie Mill.  There are three separate virtual trips:  1. History of Aldie Mill, 2. Simple Machines, and 3. Eyewitness to the Civil War. 

Where to Purchase Local Food

  • Loudoun Made, Loudoun Grown Marketplace - This is a Take Loudoun Home Initiative between the Loudoun Economic Rural Development, Visit Loudoun, and the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.  You can purchase from a variety of different farms and wineries and then pick up from a centralized location.  On the same website, you can look up a listing of local farms and other businesses and work with them directly.  
  • Gentle Harvest - an online platform where you can purchase local meat, groceries, and wine for drive through pickup.
  • Local Cart - an online platform to purchase from Loudoun farmers, producers, and artisans.
  • Loudoun Valley Homegrown Markets Cooperative - online shopping from local farmers market products. 


  • Afternoon Doodles - Mo Willems, author of children's books, invites you into his home studio to learn to draw, doodle and write.
